I grew up in a small Ohio town near Cincinnati. I became a fan of Baseball, Football and Boxing at an early age. I also became intrigued by the theory of gambling. (Not because I was a fan of Pete Rose.)

I was great at math and analyzing numbers. Through the high school years I started reading books about betting and Las Vegas. I also started visiting the local Horse Racing Tracks. In 1988, I attended the University of Akron studying Accounting and Marketing. It was there that I started running Parlay Cards during the football seasons for a local “Bookie” and playing the local Horses for my spending money.

After college, I realized that Las Vegas was the place I could put my skills to good use. Fantasy Football had just started to become popular, which allowed me to really look at teams other than my favorites. The Vegas Sportsbooks had every Horse Track and every game of sport available at one stop.

Eventually, I teamed up with a Sports Writer from the University of Cincinnati that also lived in Las Vegas and helped create a Sports Analysis Newsletter called “Beat The Book” and then “The Razor’s Edge”. This was pretty much pre-internet, so we had to put the information into print, get the copies to our subscribers and the Casinos every week by the deadlines. This didn’t leave enough time to really analyze the games before the printing deadlines. So at that point we decided to keep the picks and analysis within our group of friends.

Welcome to the age of the internet. Our services are now available to our clients in a timely manor and last minute updates and picks can be sent out instantly.
